Cemberlitas
Çemberlitaş is a district in Fatih district on the European side of Istanbul. Although its exact boundaries cannot be drawn since it is a district, it can be said that it covers a part of Mollafenari, Binbirdirek and Eminsinan districts administratively. The district takes its name from the Çemberlitaş Column in its center.
Çemberlitaş Hamam is located on the Divanyolu in Çemberlitaş, on the side of the Vizier Inn of the monument erected by Constantine I (324-337 AD). Across the Hamam, Köprülü Mehmed Pasha Mosque, madrasah and tomb, next to the Vizier Han, the old Dar'ülfünun building, and around the Sultan II. Mahmud Tomb and graveyard, Köprülü Library, Atik Ali Pasha Mosque, madrasah and Ali Baba Tomb are available.
Hamam, Sultan II. Selim's woman and Sultan III. It was built and donated by Murad's mother, Nûrbânû Sultan, to generate income for the Valide-i Atik Kulliye in Toptaşı, Üsküdar. According to Tuhfet'ül-mi'marin, Hamam is a structure of Mimar Sinan. According to the inscription, the construction date of the bath is 1584.
Çemberlitaş Hamam is planned as a double bath that is completely similar to each other and adjacent to each other. The entrance of the men's section is on Vezir Hanı Street, and as a result of the elevation of the road level over time, the pit descended by ten steps today is an entrance. There is an eaves above the entrance. On the entrance door, there is an inscription with six verses, arranged in three rows, surrounded by rumis. The entrance to the women's section should be on the Divanyolu Street by the Sultan Mahmut Tomb.
