War of Independence Museum

Due to its historical significance, I highly recommend adding the War of Independence Museum to your list of places to visit in Ankara. It holds clues about the early years of the Republic.
The first building of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, which was converted into a museum in 1961 and has been known by its current name since 1981, reflects all the elegance of Turkish architectural style. Originally, the building was planned to be used as a club building by the Committee of Union and Progress. The project was designed by Salim Bey.
The second room from the right at the entrance of the building, where the first meeting of the assembly was held in 1920, was allocated to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk so that he could conduct his work comfortably.
As you walk down the corridor, in the rooms on the left, you can closely examine military equipment, oil paintings, and memorabilia. The rooms on the right were the venues for meetings of various organs of the assembly.
