Ethnography Museum
The Ethnography Museum, where the remains of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk were placed until the construction of Anıtkabir was completed, sheds light on the changes that have taken place in Anatolian Turkish culture over the centuries.

Located on Namazgâh Hill, the foundations of this cultural facility are based on the idea, first conceived in 1924, of establishing a museum in the capital city to introduce Turkish culture to a wider audience.

Opened to the public in 1930, the museum greets visitors with a statue of Atatürk by the Italian sculptor Pietro Canonica.

After examining the statue, you can climb the stairs and proceed through the dome-covered hall to reach the inner courtyard containing 11 exhibition areas.
